E-mail: mail@kristina-peters.com
No data protection officer needs to be appointed (Art. 37 GDPR).
2. General
I process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and my content and services. Depending on the case, the legal bases are Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent), (b) (contract / pre-contractual measures), (c) (legal obligation) and (f) (legitimate interest). Data transmission is TLS-encrypted (recognisable by “https”).
No contracts are concluded and no payment data is collected through this website.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by:
SwissNetWorX, owner Joel Kuder (sole proprietorship, CHE-217.161.865)

E-mail: info@swissnwx.ch · Web: www.swissnwx.ch
The host processes personal data exclusively on my behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Its terms, its Code of Conduct Hosting and its privacy terms apply in addition.
The servers are located in Switzerland. Switzerland is recognised by the European Commission as a country with an adequate level of data protection (adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR); no additional safeguards are therefore required.
The e-mail mailbox and e-mail dispatch (SMTP) of this website also run through the same provider. No further external e-mail service is involved.
Server log files
When the website is accessed, the server automatically collects data transmitted by your browser:
- IP address (shortened where applicable)
- date and time of access
- page/file accessed, volume of data transferred

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the technically error-free and secure operation of the website. This data is not merged with other data sources. Retention period: up to 30 days.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses only technically necessary cookies and local storage entries. They serve solely to provide the service you expressly request. Under Art. 5 (3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) as implemented under the law of Portugal (Lei n.º 41/2004), no consent is required for this; therefore no cookie banner is used.
- pll_language (Polylang) — stores the language version you selected. Duration: 1 year.
- wordpress_*, wp-settings-* — only when logging into the editorial area; does not affect regular visitors.
There is no tracking, no web analytics, no profiling and no sharing with advertising networks. No analytics, statistics or marketing services are integrated.
You can delete or block cookies at any time via your browser. If the language cookie is blocked, your language selection cannot be stored permanently.
5. Fonts and external resources
All fonts (including Montserrat and Cormorant Infant) are hosted locally on the server. When the site is accessed, no connection to Google or other third-party servers is established; your IP address is not transmitted to third parties for this purpose.
6. Contact by e-mail
If you write to me by e-mail, I process the data you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, message text, optionally telephone number) to handle your enquiry and for follow-up questions.
- Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for enquiries aimed at initiating a collaboration; otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (interest in responding to enquiries).
- Technology: Contact takes place directly by e-mail; no contact form is used on this website. Your message is processed in my mailbox at the host named above and is not stored in the website database. No further recipient is involved.
- Retention: Deletion immediately after your enquiry has been fully dealt with, at the latest after two months, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise. If a collaboration comes about, the tax and commercial retention periods under Portuguese law apply.
No newsletter or other promotional mailing takes place.
7. Special categories of personal data
Please never send me sensitive data by e-mail. A brief, general indication of your concern is sufficient for making contact.
If you nevertheless voluntarily transmit sensitive information allowing conclusions about your health or other personal circumstances, I process it on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 9 (2) (a) GDPR, which you grant by voluntarily transmitting it and which you may revoke at any time with effect for the future. Within a later companionship, such data is processed exclusively on the basis of separate consent in text form.
8. Software used on the website
- WordPress — content management system.
- Elementor / Elementor Pro — page design; loading of external Google fonts is disabled.
- Polylang — multilingualism (language cookie, see section 4).
- Rank Math SEO — search engine optimisation; does not process personal visitor data.
- WP Mail SMTP — technical e-mail dispatch via the mailbox at the host (see section 3).

9. External links (book retailers)
This website contains links to external providers through which my books can be purchased. By clicking, you leave this website. The operators of the target pages are solely responsible for the data processing there; their privacy policies apply. There are no affiliate or commission agreements. No order or payment data is collected through this website.
10. Recipients and third-country transfers
I pass on personal data only to the host named in section 3 as a processor and — where legally required — to tax advisors and authorities. Transfer to Switzerland is covered by the EU Commission’s adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR. No further third-country transfers take place.

12. Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
Where data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. I will then no longer process the data concerned unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
13. No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.
14. Note for visitors outside the EU
This website is also addressed to people outside the European Union. Your data is processed within the EU or in Switzerland; GDPR standards apply regardless of where you are located. Data is not sold and is not shared with advertising networks or data brokers.
